At Investment Partners we believe that privacy is important to every client, and protecting that privacy is a responsibility we take very seriously. For this reason, we would like to take this opportunity to explain to you that as a client of our firm you can feel confident that we are committed to safeguarding your personal information. The following is a description of our Privacy Policy regarding our practices with respect to the use, retention, and security of information about you.
Our firm maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to protect its clients’ nonpublic personal information (“information”). Through this policy and its underlying procedures, our firm attempts to secure the confidentiality of customer records and information and protect against anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of customer records and information.
It is the policy of our firm to restrict access to and/or the sharing of all current and former clients’ information (i.e., information and records pertaining to personal background [including social security number and address], investment objectives, financial situation, financial planning issues, tax information/returns, investment holdings, account numbers, account balances, etc.) to those employees and affiliated/nonaffiliated entities who need to know that information in furtherance of the client’s engagement of our firm.
We shall disclose, as necessary, the client’s information: (1) to unaffiliated service providers and vendors in furtherance of establishing, maintaining, and reporting on the client’s Investment Partners relationship (i.e., broker-dealer, account custodian, record keeper, technology, performance reporting, customer relationship management software [CRM], proxy voting, insurance, independent managers, sub-advisers, etc.); (2) required to do so by judicial or regulatory process; or (3) otherwise permitted to do so in accordance with applicable federal and/or state privacy regulations.
We will continue to receive non-public information regarding your account such as holdings, transactions and market value. To properly service your account, we gather and keep your non-public information only to the extent that we must. Additionally, if your account is advised or managed by us at Investment Partners Asset Management, Inc, we may provide historical information regarding your account, including non-public information, on a strictly confidential basis to firms specialized in financial data management who assist us in calculating performance, generating reports used to analyze your account(s) and financial condition, and storing large quantities of data. We have established security standards to ensure against unauthorized access to your information.
We do not, and shall not, disclose or share information with any affiliated or nonaffiliated persons, entities or service providers for marketing or any other purposes or reasons not referenced above.
Our employees are trained regarding our privacy policy. They have access to your information on a need-to-know basis only and, except as indicated above, are not permitted to release your financial information to any non-affiliated third-party.
